NGO Holds Prayer Session for Abba Kyari’s Release, Urges President Tinubu to Intervene

By Mustapha Salisu

A non-governmental organization, the One Voice Development Initiative, held a prayer session on Monday seeking divine intervention for the release of detained Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Abba Kyari.

Led by Mallam Musa Buhari, the session requested God’s intervention during Kyari’s trial, citing his impressive record in crime fighting.

Buhari alleged that some criminals are targeting Kyari and do not want him released.

The group, during an inaugural meeting in Kano, emphasized Kyari’s importance in combating crime, particularly with Nigeria’s increasing rates of kidnapping, banditry, and armed robbery.

Abbas Abdullahi Yakasai, the convener, urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to use his legal power to release Kyari, stressing that his freedom is crucial for Nigeria’s security.

Yakasai noted that Kyari’s expertise is needed to tackle the country’s growing security challenges, and the President’s intervention is essential to ensure his release.
