Kwankwaso’s Legacy: Young PDP Politician Distributes School Uniforms, Writing Materials to 500 Students

On Sunday, a Kano based philanthropist and politician, Engineer Yusuf Da’awah distributed approximately 500 backpacks filled with school supplies to local children in Kano.

This, according to him was part of his foundation’s contribution towards supporting vulnerable and less privileged families in the society.

The uniforms and backpacks giveaway event was held at the Kano Cooperative Building in Kano.

With the upcoming academic term just few hours to come, Engr. Da’awah handed each student one backpack containing notebooks, pencil kits and other learning tools.

Over the past one month, Engr. Da’awah has singlehandedly distributed NECO and JAMB examinations forms to over 200 Kano school children.

“Education is fundamental for a child’s future, and providing the appropriate learning tools is vital to ensure schoolchildren are confident to face the new academic term.” Hon. Da’awah says.

“I have noticed that many hard-working families in these days are struggling to even put a bread on their tables, leaving behind their wards’ education due to lack of wherewithal. Therefore, we found this necessary to engage ourselves in helping them out and sponsor our children to study, as does by Senator Kwankwaso.” He says.

“This initiative is not only a work for wealthy people. Everyone can don do it, no matter how little he possessed. Although we have been conducting events like this, I want to inform you that this is taking a different shape, as its half is political and the other plane.”

Speaking at the scene of the event, former Kano State’s Gubernatorial Aspirant in PDO, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf says, he was elated to see on of their fellows imitating the “good legacy of supporting education that Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso is building in Kano.”

“I want to inform you that Engr. Da’awah believes in the importance of education because he has memorized the Qur’an in his early age, that’s why he’s making sure that students have the support they need to succeed in their lives.” said Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf.

He applaud the gesture and assured his of their resilient support to achieving his target, “we’re very happy to see a young man like Engr. Yusuf Da’awah doing what will elevate the value of our state – and ‘Jagora’ too, is.”

The event was graced by many important personalities within the circle of politics, non-governmental organizations and individuals.
