The Jigawa state governor Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Badaru has approved the release of over N1.9 billion for various projects across the state.
The state commissioner of information, youth, sports and culture, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim, dropped the hint while briefing news men shortly after state executive council meeting held at government house.
“the Jigawa state executive council has approved an award contracts to the tune of N1,928,551.548.36k to the State ministry of sducation, science and technology”he said.
He explained that the council also approved the sum ofN119,275,350.27k sonelly on projects nomardic educated in all parts of the state,
The commissioner added that “the Sum of N419,949,119.48k for the general renovation of schools under Islamic education bureau and construction of 13 number blocks of six seater pit latrines and 11number hand pump, wall fence and renovation of Kitchen block at Government Arabic Secondary School Kaugama and Danzomo”.
Other projects includes construction of 3 blocks of of 3 classroom at Government Day Arabic Secondary School Kiri, Harbo and Maje.
“Also approved was the award of contact in the sum of N437,035.99.82k for the supply of 2,238 pieces of furniture for Early Child Development Education. 5,874 set of Primary 1-3 furnitures, 5,874 sets of Primary 4 – 6 and supply of 5,874 sets of Junior Secondary School Classroom furnitures to be completed within the period of 14 weeks”.
He maintained that the council also approved the release of the sum of N150,401,528.18k for the completion of constituency projects awarded to various companies across the state.
