The majority leader of the House of Representative, Alhasan Ado Doguwa, representing the Tudun Wada/Doguwa constituency has distributed N70 million as empowerment to those whose businesses were affected by the Covid 19 pandemic in his constituency.
A total of 2000 people in the constituency on Tuesday benefited from the empowerment from which 100 people got N500,000 each and other categories got N50,000 and N25,000 respectively.
More so, three trailers of fertilizers, two trailers of rice and 100 Keke napep were distributed to other beneficiaries.
“We are here today to continue with the good works of empowering women and youth in their various small and medium scale enterprises they are engaged in.
“Is about one month now when we had the same gathering at Tudunwada where we disbursed N70 million with some getting N50,000 and others getting N25,000.
“Today we are here in Doguwa giving out the same empowerment. We are here to disburse N70 million to support those whose businesses were affected by the Covid 19 pandemic. There are those who will benefit with N25,000 and N50,000 as usual.
“This time around there are 100 people to benefit with N500,000 each in order to bring their businesses back to life after what they have faced as a result of the pandemic” Doguwa stated in his speech.
Handing the items to beneficiaries, the Kano First Lady, Hajiya Hafsat Umar Ganduje appealed to the people of the constituency to vote him back in 2023 so that one of theirs can become the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
“So please and please, Goggo is standing before you today, Goggo is appealing, Goggo is begging so that we join our hands in prayer and wish him the best and continue to give him the support so that he can serve us better.
“He is our servant so wherever he goes he is representing us, when he comes back we can approach him, we can talk to him, we can tell him whatever is our need.
“He has already demonstrated, whether we say it or not, he us there for us. So join me in prayers, by 2023 ‘insha Allah’, he is going back to the House and not only as a Majority Leader, but as Rt Hon Alhasan Ado Doguwa” the wife of Governor Ganduje stated.
