NDE trains 404 on various skills in Zamfara

The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has trained 404 trainees selected from the 14 local government areas of Zamfara State on various skills comprising cosmetology, computer appreciation, beads stringing, beauty therapy, hair dressing, interior decorations, amongst others.

Other skills were tim-tim throws pillow, barbing, GSM repairs, confectionary, knitting and tailoring all with a view to help youths to acquire marketable skills within short period which was in line of the federal government efforts to create jobs opportunities.

Speaking during the flag off ceremony of a 3 months training held in Guard the state capital by the Zamfara State Coordinator of the NDE, Alhaji Abdullahi Yakubu, said the size of civil service under both federal and state governments was not spacious enough to contain all job seekers, the reason which informed the decision to train and empower citizens to acquire good living.

Alhaji Yakubu further stated that, his agency has over the years created multitude of job opportunities to the youths comprising makes and females in the state by training them and providing them with a starter pack of resettlement for self employment.

“Ladies and gentle men, it may interest you this time around to know that all the 404 trainees undergoing this training would be paid a monthly stipend of 2,000 naira per month for the period of the training and also the trainers will be paid for their services.

“For this therefore, I want to request the indulgence of the trainees to be steadfast in their training wherever they might be posted and to remain committed in the training because there will be a routine monitoring and supervisor by both staff from the state office and the headquarters to ensure quality training delivery.
