Code of Conduct Bureau has been described as the one of the major aspect of Anti-Corruption Crusade in Nigeria.
The acting Chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Barrister Mahmoud Balarabe, disclosed this, when he led the management staffers of the Agency on a courtesy visit to Kano state office of Code of Conduct Bureau.
Mahmoud Balarabe revealed that, the visit was aimed at reestablishing the cordial working relationship that has been existed between the two bodies.
The acting chairman pointed out that Conduct of Conduct Bureau is one of the major aspects of Anti-corruption crusade as it’s all about transparency and accountability in Kano and the country at large.
The legal practitioner told the state Director of CCB that, the state Anti-graft Agency was mandated to undertake Anti-corruption crusade, stressing that the outfit has a combination of Ombudsman and Anti-graft Agency, as they receive complaints, investigate, recommend and issue redress to aggrieve parties.
On her part, the state Director of Code of Conduct Bureau, Hajiya Hadiza Larai Ibrahim, congratulated the acting chairman over his recent appointment by the Executive Governor of Kano state.
The Hajiya Hadiza Ibrahim who maintained that, the CCB over time has a good working relationship with Kano Public Complaints Commission and hopes same with the newly acting chairman, adding that it’s all about moving the state and Country forward.
She prayed to Almighty God to protect, guide, foresight and the straights to do better than the previous leadership of the Commission.
