As Jigawa Assembly gets N2.5 billion for constituency projects, rejects replacement of 10 year old LG chairmen vehicles

The Jigawa state House of Assembly has rejected and amended the proposed allocation of funds for the renewal of 27 local government chairmen vehicles in the 2022 budget.

The house equally increased the sum of N744 million to make constituency project proposed funds to N2.5 billion for the year 2022.

The report of the house committee on appropriation was presented at the house by chairman of the committee Hon Suleiman Musa Kadira with little attention from the members.

How ever members of various committee appeared to be ignorant of the activities of their committee as many contradiction and inefficiency observed in the report.

However the house was compelled to cancelled some of the amendment adjustment and recommendations they made in the budget as against the earlier copied presented by the state Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar.

After third reading of the budget report the house had unanimously pass the budget with amendment.

Before passing the budget the house had acknowledged the contradiction and prised to make bayment law after signing the budget by the executive.

The house sitting was presided by the speaker Hon Idris Garba, while many member contributed no single wards during the sitting.
