Sickle Cell Trust Fund Organized kiddies treat Event for sickle patients In Kano



The Sickle Cell community in Kano State has received a medical intervention(treatment) by Sickle Cell trust Fund and Community Health and Research Initiative (CHR)

Speaking at the occasion,The Assistant Head of sickle cell community in Kano Rukkaya Kamal ibrahim said the main aim of organizing this event is to mingle with them and create more awareness to the public, have fun with the children, to enable them have sense of belonging.

“the Sickle Cells Community will continue to advocating for the public, speak with one voice for sickle patients , and engaging stakeholders, in providing a better life for the patients”.
She added that the community has over eight thousands members and 1800 children under our watch.

On his part,the technical adviser to Abubakar Adamu Gwarzo foundation Dr Musa Abdullahi Sufi launched the Free Medical Treatment License to the Sickle Cell patients, to enable them have access to the assigned hospitals in the State whenever they are in crisis for free medical treatment solemnly, this was sponsored under the Sickle Cell Community Trust fund Initiative by Community Health and Research Initiative with the intervention of Kano State Health Trustfund.

However, one of the beneficiaries Malama Fatima, mother of 4 sickle cells patients Expressed how she suffered when her children were sick, and sighted an example with the recent occurring with 24 years old son who was hospitalized in Aminu kano teaching hospital, “we spend more than hundred thousand for medication” the situation was not friendly same time, she added

Sickle cell community sincerely appreciate the lingering support from
Community Health Research initiative, Kano State sickle cell club, Abubakar Adamu Gwarzo foundation, KACCHIMA Ammakas, Ahmad Dantata foundation, YOSPIS ,government and Non Governmental organization NGO’s that stood up for sickle patients to impact their lives in the State, and awarded them with such kind Gesture.
