The Arewa Students Orientation Forum, ASOF, has said that it has translated text books of Physics, Chemistry and Biology to Hausa language.
Speaking at the Annual General Meeting of the association, held in Kano on Sunday, the President of ASOF, Comrade Shehu Rahinat Na-Allah said that they had translated the books in order to enable students understand the knowledge easily.
“Yes, we have translated three 3 books of sciences, that is Physics, Chemistry and Biology into Hausa language to ease our students’ understanding of the subjects.
“During the height of Covid-19 pandamic, we inaugurated a committee which was directed to come up with recommendations on how to help our students.
” The committee had recommended that we should translate some text books and it will be easier to our students to understand it very well, and also, the committee recommend the teaching online system, and we used that method. It also made impact,” he said.
On his part, the Secretary General of ASOF, Comrade Isma’il Aliyu explained that, at the end of every year, the association organizes such event to discuss the challenges northern students are facing and provide solutions.
Prime Time News reports that during this year’s event, papers were presented by some Scholars on skills acquisation, insecurity, among others.
The association also presented an award to some personalities who contributed in the development of education sector in northern Nigeria.
