Free Education Policy : Kano Govt Allocates N51 Billions For Education Sector

In order to actualize the policy objectives of free and compulsory education at all levels in the state, Kano state government has allocated 51 billion naira to the education sector representing 26 percent of the total budget of the year 2022.

The commissioner of planning and budget Alhaji Nura Muhammad Dankadai stated this during the budget breakdown at the ministry on Thursday in kano.

He said the government will also support development partners intends to invest heavily in malaria control and elimination, bringing the reason why the government allocated 33. 9 billion naira representing 15 percent of the year 2022 budget.

He added that the state government is committed towards providing quality and affordable health care services at all levels.

Our correspondent reports that other ministries with high budgets includes, ministry of works and infrastructure with 33 billion naira, water supply and rural development with 13 billion naira among others.
