Speaker of Kano State House of Assembly, Alhaji Hamisu Chidari, has donated a brand new 14-seater Ford bus to the Parent-Teachers Association (PTA) in the state.
Presenting the bus on Monday in Kano, Chidari commended the association for playing vital roles in complementing government in ensuring educational development at all levels in the state.
He urged the association to redouble its efforts at ensuring the uplift of the standard of education in the state.
The speaker also lauded the Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje-led administration for making education free and compulsory in the state.
This, he said, had yielded results, considering the increase in enrollments at both primary and secondary schools in the state.
Chidari restated the assembly’s commitment to educational development at all levels in the state.
He assured of the assembly’s readiness to make more contributions to the uplift of the standard of education in the state through legislation and oversight.
Speaking at the occasion, the PTA Chairman in the state, Sani Dan-Hassan, thanked the speaker for his contributions to the socio-economic and educational development of the state.
He assured him of the association’s cooperation with government in its task at ensuring educational development in the state.
The chairman said that the vehicle would ease the transportation problems currently being by the association, especially during the routine monitoring and supervision of schools.
