As the Saturday 18th March Governorship and House of Assembly elections gather momentum, Zamfara State Police Command in Partnership with other heads of security agencies and the INEC have continued to strategise on how to beef up security in all the nooks and crannies of the state before, during and after the elections.
As part of the Strategies, the State Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf today met with the heads of security agencies in his office and discussed extensively on election security management ahead of the Saturday polls.
In a statement released to PRIME TIME NEWS by the Command’s PPRO SP Mohammed revealed, during the meeting, the CP and his counterparts have resolved to improve and sustain the working synergy to ensure adequate security and safety of the state so as to provide a conducive environment for a free, fair, credible and peaceful election.
The Commissioner of Police while reassuring the security and safety of the citizens, urges members of the Public to be law-abiding and at the same time warns troublemakers to desist from anything capable of causing a breach of the public peace and security.
