In continuation of celebration of his 65th birthday, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso on Friday commissioned a Juma’at mosque in Rikadawa town of Madobi Local Government area, his hometown in Kano state.

The former governor and senator also laid the foundation for the construction of Islamiyya school within the mosque premises.

The Mosque, which was built by HE Kwankwaso, through his foundation, Kwankwasiyya Foundation, is dedicated to his father, late Majidadi of Kano State, Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso.

Within the mosque premises, which was named after the Kwankwaso’s father is a standard mechanized borehole which would serve the community of Rikadawa.

Addressing mammoth crowd shortly after the commissioning of the mosque, where he performed the maiden Juma’at prayer, Kwankwaso thanked his supporters for their unflinching sports to him and the Kwankwasiyya movement.

According to him, as a leader, he would continue to bring developmental projects to Madobi through his foundation, aimed at uplifting the socioeconomic life of the people.

Kwankwaso also wished everybody that graced the occasion a safe journey back to their respective destinations.

Our reporter, who visited the village observed that the town was filled to the brim with the outpouring members of Kwankwasiyya movement.

The sleepy village was awaken with the flood of Kwankwasiyya stalwarts as red caps dominated the sight in the place.

About 200 motorcade forced their way into the small town, defying a narrow and deplorable lone road leading to the village amidst fanfare.
