Adamawa Government Disburses Cash Grant to 10,000 Beneficiaries of Fintiri Business Wallet

The Adamawa State government has launched the Fintiri business Wallet with 10,000 beneficiaries for an empowerment cash support of N50,000 each .

Head of the Poverty and Wealth Creation Agency,PAWECA,Hajiya Aishatu Bello Bawa  disclosed the development at the official launching ceremony of the business Wallet in Yola Friday stressing that the program was designed to ensure self reliance.

Beawa added that the support is a transformative drive for catalyst and economic development among the youths in the state noting that the beneficiaries were drawn from the 226 political Ward’s in the state.

She applauded the commitment of Governor Fintiri’s administration in uplifting the fortunes of youths in the state.

In his remarks the Commissioner of Entrepreneurship development, Hon. James Iliya said the project was aimed at creating business atmosphere where all hands are put on deck for eradication of poverty and employment Creation for all.

Iliya announced that the people living with special needs have been captured as beneficiaries in the Fintiri business Wallet empowerment scheme urging all and sundry to support and corporate with the government for more devidends of democracy.

Earlier, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri pledged to do all its takes to get the people out of poverty.

Governor Fintiri said all the 10 skills acquisition centres in the state are in good shape for training of youths.

Fintiri announced that another set of 10,000 households would be considered with support in the month of May to purposely scale up their business ventures.

He stated that the disbursement is for innovation and poverty alleviation intervention urging the beneficiaries to use the cash grant judiciously.
