The Chief Executive Officer of Asron Nigeria Limited and member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Abba Haruna Ibrahim, has described the ADC as a movement established to rescue Nigerians from the prevailing economic hardship in the country.
Speaking during an interactive session with journalists on Friday in Kaduna, Hon. Abba said the ADC has gained wide recognition and acceptance within a short period, positioning itself as the main opposition to the ruling party.
“There has never been a coalition as strong as the ADC. When the APC was formed, it took a while before people accepted it. But ADC has already shown that it is the major opposition party in Nigeria today,” he stated.
He dismissed claims that ADC had extended an invitation to the former presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to join the Party.
According to him, ADC members had collectively brainstormed and upheld the party’s manifesto as the platform to pursue their political ambitions.
Hon. Abba emphasized that anyone genuinely concerned about the plight of Nigerians, especially in the North, has no better political home than the ADC.
He said the coalition is made up of individuals who have put aside political differences and past grievances in a bid to provide solutions to the country’s challenges.
Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, he explained that the ADC plans to respect the views of its members, recognize positions previously held in their former parties, and ensure free and fair internal processes as part of efforts to secure victory.
He assured Nigerians that the ADC coalition would not disappoint if given their support, stressing that resolving Nigeria’s problems requires patriotic leaders who will not adopt foreign governance models.
Hon. Abba also commended former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for investing in his home state and creating job opportunities for the people.
