Former Transport Minister, Rt. Honorable Rotimi Amaechi on Friday led a delegation to Maiduguri to condole with Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume whose father passed away recently in Maiduguri.

Senator Ndume is a very close political associate of Rotimi Ameachi who was a Presidential Aspirant in the concluded APC party’s primaries this year and served as his campaign Director General.The delegation was received on arrival by the host led by Alhaji Adamu Timta, Alhaji Mohammed Shettima, Alhaji Umar Saad, Malam Ibrahim Ville.

Speaking to newsmen shortly after condoling the lawmaker, Amaechi disclosed that the delegation was in Maiduguri, to commiserate and identify with the Ndume’s family, friends, constituents, government and the people of Borno State over the death of the Elder Statesman, Late Alhaji Ali Buba Ndume.

“I would have loved to be here the very day Baba was pronounced dead. Actually, I was out of the country when the sad incident happened and on arrival, was confirmed to have contracted Covid-19”, he said.

“My relationship with Senator Ndume is that of blood brothers although, I had earlier sent a delegation to represent me during the funeral, I still find it very necessary to come and condole him personally”.

Members of the delegation included Senator Andrew Uchendu, Hon. Stanley Ohajuruka , Sen. Joshua Lidani, Sen. Tutare and Hon. Bulama Fuji Ibrahim among many others.
