The Aminu Magashi Garba (AMG) Foundation has fulfilled its promise to empower 50 women in Kano State through a skills acquisition training program.
This initiative, in collaboration with Women Partners for Progress (WPP), aims to equip women with the necessary tools to start their own businesses.
According to Malam Suleiman, Director of Operations at AMG Foundation, this is the fourth empowerment program for women in the state.
“Each of the 50 participants will receive a startup grant of N10,000 to kickstart their businesses. Additionally, WPP provided training on soft skills acquisition, which will have a life-changing impact on their lives” he said.
Rukkaya Adam Shuwa, Executive Director of WPP, praised AMG Foundation for its consistent support to youth and women in the state through various empowerment programs.
She added that many vulnerable women and girls have been able to start their own businesses thanks to AMG Foundation’s support, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
