AMG Foundation Honours Abuja Frontline Health Workers

In recognition of Nigeria’s unsung heroes in the healthcare sector, the Aminu Magashi Garba (AMG) Foundation has honoured numerous selfless frontline health workers at its 3rd Annual Awards ceremony, held at the AHBN Office in Abuja.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba, founder of the AMG Foundation, emphasized that the awards serve not only as a celebration of excellence but also as an inspiration for others to uphold high standards in healthcare services.

He highlighted the foundation’s commitment to fostering greater participation from grassroots healthcare professionals.

Dr. Magashi further announced that this year’s award categories would be expanded to cover more states. Additionally, the Health Journalists Report Awards would soon be introduced to recognize journalists who focus on healthcare reporting.

Among the awardees for the Abuja Frontline Health Workers Awards were Muhammad Mustapha Yahya and Zainab Ladan, recognized as the most committed volunteer staff, while Azie Emenike Emmanuel and Binta M. Ahmed were honored as the most dedicated staff. Mary Gekpa received the award for being the most patient-friendly staff.

The AMG Foundation has been organizing and funding similar annual awards in Kano and Bauchi States as part of its ongoing efforts to recognize and reward outstanding healthcare professionals.

This marks the third edition of the AMG Foundation Awards, reaffirming its dedication to supporting frontline health workers across Nigeria.
