The AMG Foundation, led by its founder, Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba, has pledged its support to the Kano State Fire Service Command in tackling fire outbreaks in the State.
Dr. Magashi made this announcement during a courtesy visit by the Kano State Controller of Federal Fire Service, Engr. S.O. Kazeem.
The AMG Foundation has a long history of supporting humanitarian and security initiatives in Kano, both in urban and rural communities. With the approaching harmattan season, which brings an increased risk of fire outbreaks, the foundation is committed to providing the Kano State Fire Service with the resources it needs to protect lives and property.
“As the harmattan session is approaching, cases of fire outbreak is rampant which claims many lives and properties in Kano state,”
“With this, AMG foundation will support Kano state fire service with communication equipments (CUG) sims and phones, Trainings, Awareness and sensitization creation which will be a way to curb the menaces of fire outbreak during the session” said Dr. Magashi.
In addition to providing communication equipment, the AMG Foundation will also support the training of 30 youth to become fire safety ambassadors. These ambassadors will play a vital role in educating the public about fire safety and preventing fire outbreaks in congested market places.
“We are grateful for the AMG Foundation’s support. Their contributions will go a long way in helping us to protect the people of Kano from fire outbreaks” said Engr. S.O. Kazeem.
