A Kano-based Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC),Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, has urged former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party,Mr Peter Obi, and his NNPP counterpart, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, to make their own personal interventions to ease the current hardships in the country.
Kwankwaso,in a statement issued to newsmen in Kano on Thursday, said they should contribute their quota to ease the suffering of Nigerians, instead of relentlessly attacking President Bola Tinubu.
“Instead of attacking President Bola Tinubu, Atiku,Peter Obi and Kwankwaso should find ways of helping Nigerians out of the present circle of poverty, hunger and starvation in the country.
“It is true that Nigerians are suffering, but it is also true that the Government of President Tinubu is doing all it can to make life easy for the citizens, and these efforts should be supported not criticized,”he said.
The former Commissioner in the defunct Abdullahi Ganduje administration in Kano State, criticized Kwankwaso for not assisting his immediate constituents and supporters of the NNPP in Kano State and those in the neighbouring Katsina and Jigawa States,”even though he is the presidential candidate of the NNPP.”
According to him,Atiku,as a former number two citizen of Nigeria, has also not contributed his quota to ease the suffering of Nigerians.
He said Nigeria is passing through a trying period which requires all citizens to put heads together and find solutions to the problems facing the country.
“We cannot just be criticizing the Federal Government, we must suggest ways and means to make things better,” he said.
Kwankwaso insisted that Government is trying its best in revamping the the nation’s economy and in addressing the lingering insecurity, commending the Minister of Defence,Abubakar Badaru, the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle,as well as the National Security Adviser(NSA),Malam Nuhu Ribado, for their efforts at curtailing the security challenges.
