A Federal Lawmaker from Zamfara State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Aminu Sani Jaji, has led a delegation of the leadership of the Arewa Community residing in the southern part of the country on a courtesy visit to the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, at the party’s National Headquarters in Abuja.
Hon. Sani Jaji, who represents Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji Federal Constituency in Zamfara State, said the visit was to express support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to congratulate the new APC National Chairman on his appointment.
According to a statement signed by Jamilu Iliyasu Birnin Magaji, Media Aide to Aminu Sani Jaji, and made available to newsmen, the Arewa Community in southern Nigeria also used the visit to reaffirm their commitment to the activities and unity of the party.
Hon. Jaji commended the APC National Working Committee for what he described as efforts to strengthen internal party cohesion and urged continued engagement with stakeholders, including northern communities residing in the South.
He also briefed the National Chairman on the political situation in Zamfara State and emphasized the need for inclusive participation of all party members across the country.
In his response, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda thanked the delegation for the visit and assured them of the party’s readiness to involve all groups in its programmes and decision-making processes.
He acknowledged the contributions of Hon. Sani Jaji to the party’s organizational efforts and called for continued collaboration toward promoting national unity and development.
Earlier, the Leader of the Arewa Community in the South, Alhaji Ahmed Gulma, said their visit was to reaffirm their support for the party’s leadership and to encourage stronger communication between the national leadership and communities residing outside the northern region.
Gulma also disclosed that Hon. Aminu Jaji had assisted coordinators of the Arewa Community in the South-West and expressed optimism about continued engagement between the group and the party.
