Youths have again been advised to desist from the prevailing get-rich-quick syndrome which pervades the society and is seen as a bane of National Development.
The Managing Director, Federal Medical Centre Azare, Bauchi State, Dr Dauda Abubakar Katagum advised while receiving the National Executive Committee of the Katagum Students Association on a courtesy visit to the Center.
Dr Dauda Abubakar Katagum described the practice of internet fraud popularly called Yahoo_Yahoo; Drug addiction and cultism as prevalent vices that destroy the future of potential youths in Nigeria.
The Medical Director urged them to always stick to their moral upbringing, worship God accordingly and by all means avoid peer groups that lure them into antisocial activities and work to create a prosperous future for themselves.
He further advised them to prepare against the challenges of post-graduation life in a country where the labour market is saturated while employment opportunities remain scarce.
Dr D A Katagum suggested that Youths should exploit their God-given talents in limitless vacations like Carpentry, Metalwork and Tailoring which he observed can be more lucrative than white color jobs.
Earlier speaking on the purpose of their visit, the National President of Katagum Students Association, Isah Baba Saidu said as the newly elected Exco, their visit was to familiarize themselves with the centre and gain from advice the Managing Director, Dr Abubakar Katagum.
Isah Baba Saidu acclaimed that FMC, Azare has excelled in providing effective tertiary health care services to the community and therefore solicited career support for its qualified members.
