A non governmental Organization known as BETA Nigeria stormed Jigawa state with aims to boost investment in education sector for better future of the state.
Speaking at one-day round table discussion, the BETA Nigeria consultant, Khadija Lawal said, the discussion will give light to the participants on why education matters as well as how power of education will benefit both individuals and the society at large.
She explained that, supporting reformation of education can reduce poverty, increase peace and stability and social mobility to all citizens.
The consultant who decried that, less than eight percent of government spending goes to education, added that one in each five out of school children is in Nigeria with more than ten million both girls and boys.
According her, the mission of Beta Nigeria is to get every Nigerian child into school, help them to stay in school and ensure every child recieved a good quality education.
Hajiya Khadija Lawal then, urged participants to support the effort by contributing their quota towards the actualization of putting more investment into educational sector.
