A member of the Kano State House of Assembly representing Ungoggo Local Government Area, Aminu Sa’adu, has died after a brief illness.
The death was confirmed on Wednesday evening by the Press Secretary of the Kano State House of Assembly, Kamaludeen Sani Shawai.
According to Shawai, the lawmaker fell ill shortly after arriving at the assembly earlier in the day. He was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors later confirmed his death.
Shawai added that the late lawmaker would be buried at about 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, in accordance with Islamic rites.
The passing of Hon. Sa’adu has thrown the Kano State House of Assembly and his constituents in Ungoggo into mourning.
