Dr. Ado Ibrahim, the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland and paramount ruler of the Ebira people, passed away in the early hours of Sunday at the age of 94.
It is gathered that he had been receiving treatment for an age-related ailment at an Abuja hospital.
Ibrahim ascended the throne in 1997 and was a respected leader who was known for his wisdom and dedication to his people.
He was a successful businessman before ascending the throne and was well-educated, having obtained a B.Sc in Economics from the London School of Economics and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Ibrahim will be buried today in Okene according to the Islamic rites.
