Parents and caregivers have received a crucial call to ensure their children, aged below 5 years, participate in the upcoming polio immunization campaign, jointly conducted by the Kaduna State Government and its development partners.
The immunization campaign, slated for December 14th to 17th, 2023, will involve vaccinators visiting households and administering vaccines in various locations such as streets, worship centers, markets, and motor parks, among others.
This information was disclosed in a joint statement released by the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Development Board and the Journalists Initiative on Immunization Against Polio (JAP).
The statement emphasizes the importance of immunization in safeguarding children’s health and urges parents to cooperate with the vaccinators attending to their children.
Furthermore, the statement highlights the thorough preparations made by the State Government, Development Partners, and key stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of the campaign.
It also extends gratitude to Traditional Rulers and Religious Leaders for their continued support, essential for the success of various health campaigns in the state.
Lastly, the statement appeals to the ad-hoc staff engaged in the polio immunization campaign to ensure all eligible children receive the vaccination for the exercise to achieve its objectives successfully.
