Today marks the 34th anniversary of the creation of our beloved Yobe State, “The Pride of The Sahel”—a land rich in history, culture, and untapped potential.
As we reflect on our journey since August 27, 1991, we are reminded of how far we have come as a people. From humble beginnings, Yobe has grown in stature, resilience, and promise.
Despite the challenges we have faced over the decades, from developmental hurdles to security concerns, the unwavering spirit of our people has continued to shine through.
I am proud to be a son of this great state, and I remain deeply committed to the ideals of unity, peace, and sustainable development.
Let us use this anniversary not only to celebrate but also to recommit ourselves to building a Yobe that works for all—a state where opportunity, education, healthcare, and security are accessible to every citizen.
As we look to the future, may our shared values and enduring faith guide us toward greater achievements.
Happy 34th Anniversary, Yobe State!
May our land continue to prosper.
