Civil Rights Movement of Nigeria: A million allegations can’t wash El-Rufa’i’s achievements away

Often, people will try to destroy you precisely because they recognize your power, not because they don’t see it, but because they see it and they don’t want it to exit.

There is a saying that whoever is trying to bring you down, is already below you, this is a clear message to those who have chosen the path of ensuring that they damage the good reputation of Malam Nasir El-rufai.

Regrettably, and In what appears to be yet another unrepentant blackmailers, the so-called Civil rights movement of Nigeria, who also happen to be the agent of damaging misinformation, wrongful, false and misleading allegations levelled against the personality of Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i to smear his image seems to be totally out of touch with reality on ground.

These so -called members of the civil rights movement in Nigeria who ought to have minded their business towards their primary responsibilities to Nigerians, regrettably drifted away by acting a well structured script drafted by mischievous elements who were all out to further their evil agenda to create division and hatred among Nigerians.

The said movement at their press conference in Abuja through its converner Okwa Daniel said Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i is using his supposed academic pursuit as a smokescreen to further his evil agenda against Nigeria as well as being someone who triggered the menace of banditry in southern Kaduna.

These below the belt punches thrown by the convener which although sad but laughable at best , are commonly associated with people with ill repute. People that heard it were quick to dismiss it as a smear campaign against a man of good standing in our society. It does beg the question who sponsors such mischief makers, whose agenda was to again mislead the public for their selfish interest.

While however, we await the so-called Civil rights movement of Nigeria to retrieve their utterances on the damaging misinformation, we feel obliged to put the facts straight and urge the public to disregard the fabricated stories as they are a bunch of people that are lacking in a noble intent.

If Daniel feels he has any claim against the person of Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i, he should kindly approach the court rather than use cheap shots and lies to malign with intention to damage the good reputation of Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i whose ethical governance has never been an issue of contention.

Let them not be carried away especially from political mischievous elements and ethnic jingoist that, the ex governor of Kaduna State Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i was too instrumental to the emergence of Tinubu as a president as well as All progressive Congress party (APC).

El-Rufai’s boldness to tell the truth to power made him stand tall in the midst of his political associates and it’s a known fact that, El-Rufa’i is an achiever per excellence as well as a performer.

As alleged by the same movement and their cohorts, El-rufai is working hard to join Tinubu ‘s cabinet.

Be as it may, Elrufai is a strong character and influencial figure of the ruling party APC. He also played a significant role towards the emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who before the election and the eventual emergence, went all out to court to challenge the naira redesign policy which was allegedly targeted at Tinubu’s presidential ambition.

Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i has every moral right based on sterling commitment above as well as many more to be considered in the present government led by president Bola Ahmed no matter whose ox is gored.

Already Mal Nasir El-rufai has announced his retirement plan to further his studies if not that Mr President recalled him back and beg him to stand with him where he eventually even if reluctantly he honoured the request.

Therefore, to the civil rights movement of Nigeria and their partners with or without any compensation package to accommodate him, Malam Nasir has already moved on whilst those whose victory he helped secure, know pretty well how incredible he was and the sooner these accusers stop selling their platforms to be used as airtime, the better for Nigerians to move and forge ahead in the right direction. El- Rufai’s performance and achievement are always on the table for anybody to see.

El-Rufa’i is an exception unlike many of his colleagues to be accused of sectionalism and nepotism rather he has worked extremely hard to give the needed quality leadership in Kaduna State and Nigeria while in office.

It should be noted, Mal Nasir El-Rufa’i has given a good account of himself which has gone a long way in dousing the narratives by certain dark forces, bent on tarnishing his image for political reason best known to them especially the recent so -called Civil rights movement of Nigeria and their cohorts for mischievous allegations who were all out to tarnish his image.

We therefore, call the civil rights movement of Nigeria as matter of urgency to retrieve their fraud misleading allegations levelled against the person of Malam Nasir El-rufai.

Furthermore, the movement and its spokesperson should stop sharing damaging misinformation, false accusations and lies to malign and damage the good reputation of Malam Nasir El-Rufa’i.

As a man who faces miscreants without fear of intimidation and taking bold and difficult decisions, all other mischievous elements working against him should lay down their arms. He earned the trust of a people wholeheartedly and not only in Northern Nigeria but in the rest of Nigeria as a whole. One day even his enemies will attest to that.
