CYNAPC Reaffirms Confidence in Civil Service Head, Didi Walson-Jack

The Coalition of Northern Youth for APC (CYNAPC) has reaffirmed its vote of confidence in the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, commending her transformative leadership since her appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Marking her first anniversary in office on August 14, 2025, CYNAPC praised Walson-Jack for spearheading reforms that have, according to the group, “reset the trajectory of Nigeria’s civil service.”

Among her notable achievements, the coalition highlighted the launch of Service-Wise GPT, Nigeria’s first AI-powered governance tool unveiled at the Global Government Summit 2025 in Singapore. The tool is said to have improved policy drafting and decision-making within the civil service.

The group also pointed to the migration of over 34,000 civil servants to GovMail on the 1-GOV Cloud, efforts to strengthen federal–state collaboration, and initiatives aimed at improving welfare, inclusivity, and staff motivation through housing programmes, wage adjustments, training, and accelerated promotions.

Additionally, Walson-Jack has inaugurated the Editorial Committee on the History of Nigeria’s Civil Service, a move CYNAPC described as crucial to preserving institutional memory.

Guided by the values of accountability, meritocracy, professionalism, loyalty, and efficiency (AMPLE), the coalition said Walson-Jack has restored pride and professionalism to the civil service.

Quoting management expert Peter Drucker, the group said her leadership exemplifies how great leaders thrive during challenging moments.

CYNAPC commended President Tinubu for what it called a “visionary appointment” and pledged continued support for Walson-Jack’s reform agenda.

“We pray Almighty God continues to grant her wisdom, strength, and courage to sustain these reforms for the progress of Nigeria,” the statement added.
