President Tinubu: A Blessing to Kano through Appointments and Developmental Projects.
The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Abdullahi Ata, has stated that Deputy Senate President, Hon. Barau I. Jibrin, is the best person to represent Kano in the gubernatorial election in 2027.
This statement was made during a political gathering at the Federal Secretariat in Kano on Saturday, where Minister Ata met with the senior legislative aides of Deputy Senate President Barau.
Minister Yusuf Ata emphasized that Hon. Barau is exceptionally fit for the role due to his unmatched capacity and political altruism within the APC in Kano. He noted that the democratic benefits brought to Kano by Hon. Barau are clear and tangible, making him the ideal candidate to lead the state.
“We are grateful and ready to reciprocate his kindness,” Minister Ata said, stressing the need to resolve impending issues for the party to succeed in the upcoming election.
He also advised all ex-co members and party elders to address entangled issues in their constituencies and avoid working at cross-purposes. He also highlighted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s contributions to Kano, including facilitating the appointment of Deputy Senate President Barau, two ministers, and numerous other political appointments.
Additionally, he mentioned the Northwest Development Authority, the Social Housing Initiatives ‘Tinubu Housing’, which aims to build 100 housing units in each local government, and other projects like Tabarakallah Housing, Renewed Hope City, and Renewed Hope Estate.
Saying that these are all presidential prerogatives which are developmental blessings to Kano.
He further stated, “President Tinubu has done everything necessary for Kano, and we greatly appreciate his efforts.” He praised President Tinubu, saying, “His actions are a clear demonstration of his commitment to the development of Kano, and we are truly grateful.”
Minister Yusuf Abdullahi Ata firmly believes that Deputy Senate President Hon. Barau I. Jibrin is the most suitable candidate for the 2027 Kano gubernatorial election, given his proven track record and the political advantages Kano has already gained under President Tinubu’s administration.
