DSS arrests 3 suspects for trailing people to steal money withdrawn from a bank in Kano

The Department of State Services (DSS), Kano Command, has succeeded in arresting a notorious syndicate group that specialised in trailing people after withdrawing money from banks to steal the money.

The State Director of DSS in Kano, Mr Alhassan Muhammad, told reporters on Friday when paraded the suspects at thier headquarters in Kano, said that for the past three years, the criminals have been terrorising people of the state.

Mr Muhammad said that the ring leaders of the syndicate group arrested, were, Abubakar Umar, 30, Abubakar Suleiman, 38, and Ya’u Abubakar, 32.

“We got them around Jaen quarters in the Kano metropolitan area, at a house after breaking the motorcycle and stole the money.

“Our investigation revealed that, for the past three years, these suspects have been operating in Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Maiduguri and other states” .

According to him, the suspects were apprehended after breaking a motorcycle and carted away with N300, 000, withdrawn from a bank.

Mr Muhammad said that the service has already stationed its officers to ensure that they arrest the remaining members of the syndicate group.

He added that the service would hand them over to the police for prosecution after investigation.
