The 15th Emir of Kano, His Highness Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has called on the federal and state governments to continue initiating and delivering developmental projects for the benefit of the people.
Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, Spokesperson to the 15th Emir disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen today in Kano.
According to Abubakar, Emir Bayero made the call in his Eid message to the government, the people of Kano State, and the entire Muslim Ummah.
The Emir urged authorities to prioritize the protection of lives and property, as well as public health. He offered prayers for Allah’s guidance to help leaders fulfill their promises to citizens.
Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero also appealed to the public to continue praying for their leaders and remain law-abiding to enable smooth implementation of development programmes.
He commended clerics for their consistent prayers and sermons aimed at reforming society, especially the youth.
The Emir congratulated Nigerian pilgrims for successfully performing Hajj this year and encouraged them to pray for peace, prosperity, and stability in the country.
He further urged those performing animal sacrifice (layya) to share with others through charity and kindness, in line with the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
