Ganduje Hands Over Governance To 14-Year-Old In Kano

Kano state governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Monday temporarily handed over power to a 14-year-old girl, Atika Abubakar Yankaba as part of activities marking 2021 International Day of the Girl Child (IDGC).

The 14 year old was mandated to served as acting Governor for 1 hour, and she anticipated to make policy pronouncements.

The epoc ceremony tagged “Girls Take over Governance” was facilitated by UNICEF in concert with Donor partners, Civil Society Group in the state.
