Ganduje’s Aide condemns presidency’s response to insecurity in Northern Nigeria

Salihu Tanko Yakasai, the Senior Special Assistant on ICT and Communication to former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State and National Chairman of APC, has criticized the presidency over insecurity in Northern Nigeria.

He revealed this in a post on his official X handle.

The aide’s post read: “Passengers kidnapped along Akwanga road, military hit at Niger State, more got kidnapped along Maiduguri-Kano road, 50 were killed in Kankara Katsina, not to mention lives lost in Zamfara on a daily basis, yet no Statement from Villa. If na happy birthday, e for don drop since.”

The aide’s comments have sparked a vigorous debate on social media, with numerous users echoing his sentiments and calling for more decisive action from the federal government to tackle the insecurity.

The Presidency has yet to issue a statement concerning the incident that led to loss of lives in Katsina.
