Yobe State Governor Hon. Mai Mala Buni has approved the employment of 424 health professionals to be deployed across health facilities in the state.
In a press statement issued by Mamman Mohammad, the Director General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor, it was revealed that the Governor approved the recruitment of 205 nurses and midwives who graduated from the state-owned Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery.
Additionally, the Governor has sanctioned the employment of 219 health technicians specializing in various fields to meet the professional demands of hospitals across the state.
The newly hired health workers will be deployed to both rural and urban areas to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare services to residents across Yobe State.
Governor Buni emphasized that this initiative is part of his administration’s commitment to providing accessible and affordable healthcare to the people of Yobe.
He urged the newly employed health professionals to remain dedicated to their work, ensuring that they justify the government’s investment and confidence in them.
The Governor assured that healthcare delivery would remain a top priority for his administration. He further pledged to continue providing hospitals with the necessary facilities, medical supplies, and qualified staff to ensure the continuous improvement of healthcare services in the state.
