Gov. Buni Reconstructs Polythene, Woven Sacks Industry in Damaturu

…Approves Purchase of New Equipment

Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has reconstructed and modernized the Polythene & Sacks Woven Industry in Dikumari, Damaturu, as part of his administration’s efforts to boost industrial development in the state.

The Governor approved the purchase and installation of brand-new modern equipment, constructed additional facilities, and upgraded existing structures to international standards, thereby reviving the company for greater productivity.

Governor Buni’s bold intervention is in line with his vision to drive sustainable development, expand the state’s revenue base, create thousands of job opportunities, and position Yobe State as a hub for agro-allied industries.

Since assuming office, Governor Buni has pursued a robust economic recovery plan that includes the construction of seven ultra-modern markets in Damaturu, Geidam, Yunusari, Potiskum, Ngalda, Gashua, and Nguru.

His administration also revived the Potiskum Maize Processing Plant and the Potiskum Aluminium Company, in addition to establishing modern sesame processing factories in Machina, Nguru, Potiskum, and Damaturu.

Currently, the government is constructing a gigantic City Mall Center in Damaturu, designed to serve as a modern commercial hub and further stimulate economic activities across the state.

Governor Buni’s sustained investments in industrialization and commerce underscore his commitment to building a stronger, self-reliant, and economically vibrant Yobe State.
