Yobe State Governor, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has described negotiations with the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa as “very successful” with huge potential for the state.

The talks, which took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focused on partnership opportunities in agriculture, infrastructure development, and energy security.

According to a statement by Mamman Mohammad, Director-General of Press and Media Affairs, Governor Buni highlighted key areas of support and partnership, including agriculture, vocational training, infrastructure development, education, healthcare delivery, and energy security.

The Governor emphasized the importance of agriculture in improving food sufficiency, security, and economic development, as well as vocational training for youth employment and economic growth.

He also stressed the need for improved infrastructure to enhance socio-economic development and recover from insurgency-related destruction.

Despite significant investments in education and healthcare, Governor Buni acknowledged room for improvement and explored potential partnerships in these areas.
