In a heartwarming display of community spirit and selfless service, the Naufal Ahmad Foundation, led by Naufal Ahmed, Director General of Katsina Information and Communications Technology (KATDICT), distributed essential Ramadan food items to 500 vulnerable households in Katsina State.

The event, held at the Government House in Katsina, was graced by Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, who lauded the youth-led initiative as a shining example of compassion and community development.

Governor Radda, in his address, expressed profound gratitude for the efforts of young people in supporting the less privileged during the holy month of Ramadan. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in fostering unity, love, and collective responsibility within the community.

“Today, we gather to express our gratitude to Allah for this remarkable initiative by our youth, who have taken it upon themselves to serve the community. It is truly commendable that young people are thinking of ways to assist the less privileged, particularly women, in such an impactful manner. This act of generosity sets an example for others, especially the youth, to emulate,” the Governor remarked.

The Governor also highlighted the significance of focusing on women beneficiaries, noting that empowering women directly impacts families and society at large. “I am particularly pleased to see women benefiting from this initiative because supporting women means supporting the entire community. When women receive help, they, in turn, uplift their families and society at large,” he said.

Governor Radda urged beneficiaries to share the received items with neighbors who may not have directly benefited from the program. “I urge the beneficiaries to extend their blessings by sharing with neighbors who may not have received support. This will strengthen love, unity, and our collective commitment to acts of worship and service to humanity,” he added.

The Governor commended Naufal Ahmed and the foundation for their dedication to humanitarian service, drawing parallels to his own experiences with the Gwagware Foundation, which has been engaged in similar charitable activities for the past nine years.

“What started as a personal initiative, using our own resources, has now grown to attract support from others who are willing to contribute to community development. This is the essence of selfless service—giving for the sake of Allah and trusting that He will multiply the rewards,” he shared.

Naufal Ahmed, the founder of the Naufal Ahmad Foundation, attributed his inspiration to Governor Radda’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian service. “This Ramadan package is part of the lessons I learned from the State Governor, who dedicated himself to serving humanity,” Ahmed said. He also expressed gratitude to the Governor for his inclusivity in involving young men and women in governance.

The event featured a sermon by Sheikh Yakubu Musa Hassan, a member of the National Trustees of JIBWIS, who reminded attendees of the spiritual rewards of providing food support to the needy, especially during Ramadan. He urged leaders to emulate Naufal Ahmed’s example to attract Allah’s mercy and ensure the success of the current administration.

In a show of solidarity, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir, donated ₦560,000, while Ali Abu Albaba, a member representing Katsina in the State House of Assembly, contributed ₦500,000 to support the initiative. The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including the State Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Hon. Ishaq Shehu Dabai; the Economic Adviser to the Governor, Nura Khalil Nura; and the Chairman-elect of Katsina LG, Hon. Isah Miqdad.

The Naufal Ahmad Foundation’s Ramadan initiative not only provided immediate relief to vulnerable households but also served as a powerful reminder of the transformative impact of youth-led humanitarian efforts. As Governor Radda aptly noted, such acts of kindness and service are the building blocks of a more compassionate and united society.

This event underscores the importance of collective action in addressing societal challenges and highlights the pivotal role of youth in driving positive change. With continued support and collaboration, initiatives like these have the potential to create lasting impact, ensuring that no one is left behind in the pursuit of a better, more inclusive future.
