Governor Radda Swears In Three Permanent Secretaries, One Special Adviser

…Charges Them to Serve with Integrity and Dedication, Urges Appointees to Uphold Oath of Office and Contribute to Good Governance

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has sworn in three Permanent Secretaries and a Special Adviser, urging them to discharge their duties with integrity, diligence and a deep sense of responsibility to the people of the state.

The newly sworn-in officials are Malam Tukur Hassan Dan Ali, ( from Dan Musa). Malam Junaidu (from Kankara), and Malam Yahaya (from Safana) as Permanent Secretaries, as well as Lawal Mukhtar as Special Adviser representing Baure Local Government Area.

The swearing-in ceremony, which took place today at the Government House, Katsina, was attended by Deputy Governor, SGS, Head of civil service, members of the State Executive Council, top government functionaries and other dignitaries.

Governor Radda described the appointments as part of his administration’s continuous effort to strengthen governance through the injection of experience, competence and youthful energy into the system.

Speaking on the appointment of the Special Adviser, Lawal Mukhtar, the Governor said the choice would give Baure Local Government a strong voice at the highest level of decision-making in the state.

“From the profile and record of service we have seen, he is a resourceful and capable young man who should have been brought into the state structure much earlier. His appointment also increases youth representation in our cabinet, and I urge him to contribute actively and confidently at the Executive Council,” the Governor said.

On the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, Governor Radda noted that their careers reflect long years of dedication and professionalism in the civil service, expressing confidence that they would add value to policy implementation and public service delivery.

“These officers have distinguished themselves through discipline, competence and commitment. I am confident that they will strengthen service delivery and support our drive for an efficient and responsive public service,” he stated.

The Governor particularly commended Malam Tukur Hassan for his long-standing contributions in strengthening the relationship between government and the media, describing him as a seasoned administrator with deep institutional knowledge.

“Malam Tukur Hassan has played a key role in building a productive interface between government and the journalism community. His experience and understanding of the system will be a great asset to this administration,” he said.

Governor Radda also spoke warmly of Malam Junaidu from Kankara and Malam Yahaya from Safana, noting their strong academic, professional and teaching backgrounds, which he said would bring added discipline, patience and depth to leadership and administration.

Addressing the appointees, the Governor reminded them that the Oath of Office they had taken should serve as their constant guide in decision-making and conduct.

“The Oath of Office you have just taken contains all the principles you need to guide your actions. You must always reflect on it and allow it to direct your choices in the best interest of the people and the state,” he said.

He urged them to remain mindful of accountability, public trust and service to humanity, stressing that leadership is a sacred responsibility before God and society.

Governor Radda prayed for divine guidance, wisdom and strength for the new Permanent Secretaries and the Special Adviser, expressing confidence that they would justify the confidence reposed in them.

“We pray that Almighty Allah guides you, grants you wisdom, and makes you a source of benefit to Katsina State. May your tenure be marked by honesty, commitment and positive impact,” he added.

The Governor congratulated the appointees and wished them success in their new responsibilities, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to building a competent, efficient and people-oriented public service in Katsina State.
