Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President-elect, has expressed his full support for Hilda Bassey Effiong, popularly known as Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef on a mission to set a new Guinness World Record in cooking.

Ever since Hilda embarked on her ambitious cooking project called “Cook-a-thon,” she has garnered immense support, particularly from fellow Nigerians.

During her Instagram live sessions, thousands of people flooded the comment section, applauding her efforts and providing words of encouragement.

In a remarkable show of support, Tinubu joined the chorus of well-wishers in the comment section, referring to her as ‘idan,’ which means the “real deal.”

He encouraged her not only to break barriers but also to shatter the existing record she aims to surpass.

Tinubu’s comment read, “IDAN doesn’t break, she breaks records. We are rooting for you, Hilda.”

The current record holder that Hilda seeks to surpass is Lata Tandon, an Indian chef who achieved a Guinness World Record by cooking continuously for 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019.

Hilda’s bold endeavor involves attempting to cook for an astonishing 96 hours, dedicating an additional 9 hours beyond the existing record. If successful, she will become the first person on Earth to spend such an extraordinary amount of time cooking.
