Increase Budget Line For Jigawa Grassroots Soccer – Chairman Jigawa Correspondent

The Local government councils in Jigawa state have been urged to make a budget line for sports competitions to facilitate the mobilization of young and talented soccer players from the grassroots.
The Chairman Jigawa state Correspondents Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journal Comrade Muhammad Zangina Kura made the called during the 12th annual general meeting and award presentation organized by Birninkudu Independent Couches Association.
He said, financing sport activities by local government and other private sponsors will help in the development of sport, identifying talented players and give them opportunity to excell in the state, nation and international arena.
Comrade Zangina commended BICA for it’s resilient commitment in organizing soccer competition which so far unlock many talented youth whom can play and excell in every league around the world if given opportunity and support.
“By what I have seen today I am optimistic that BICA has laid an example of sport organization which if emulated and sustained Jigawa state will soon became a hub for recruiting young soccer who will be proud of the nation at any league ” Comrade Zangina stated.
Speaking at the occasion the Kano Pillars Football Club Coach Alhaji Lawan Abdullahi Maikaba expressed his delight on the performance of BICA in the development of soccer sports particularly it’s system of identify talented youth who can be transfer to any advance club.
Maikaba who was a former couch of many Nigerian Premier League Clubs promised to link the selected top 11 players of the year 2023 with other senior clubs within and outside the nation.
He also promised to facilitate training and retraining of BICA members to build their capacity on modern Couching to enable them produce more tallented players who can be taken to any part of the world.
In his speech the Chairman Birninkudu Independent Couches Association Hassan Magaji said, the association was established in 2012 and presently it has 130 registered members.
He explained that, the association was established aimed at regulating the soccer sports with standard organization, promoting unity among coaches, club managers, players and supporters.
“Also the association saddle with responsibility of facilitating partnership with other partners for league sponsorship, and linking our young players with other part of the world”.
During the occasion an award of honor was presented to different people, including Kano Pillars Coach Abdullahi Maikaba, former National Premier League Player Rabiu Ali (Pele) Chairman Jigawa state Correspondent Chapel Muhammad Zangina Kura and 11 best players of the year 2023 selected from different football clubs.
