Sufi innovation and Development solutions (SIDES) in collaboration with Africa study center(ASC) and Arewa Agenda commemorates International women’s day in kano state at PRNigeria center.
The Founder of SIDES Musa Abdullahi Sufi said, the day is worth to be celebrate because women have contributed in developing each society in one way or the .The participation of women in the technology space by is less particular in Africa.
“African women are brave, talented and innovated in all endeavors but the absences of mentors and supports from Government, philanthropists and NGOs make their self esteem to be overlooked by others.
“In this day, we trained over 30 women on digital innovation that can be used to boost their business, Education, and other social activities,” he said.
The Partnership and Engagement officer paradigm initiative Hajiya Amina Ibrahim Idris added that, “I urge all women in kano to embrace the digital space, this will truly help us to grow big. Every year there are grants meant for technology for women but the absence of them in participation led to less achievement.
“there are a lot of opportunities at the tech space around the globe for women” She said.
In his part, The co-ordinator of Arewa Agenda Musa sani Aliyu express his gratitude to the minister of communications and Digital Economy Prof. Isa Ali pantami for establishing an incubation center for Arewa Agenda at PRNigeria center kano.
“Over this years of intervention,the center has trained more than 500 youth in digital and technology innovation in the state.”
