Jigawa Assembly discovers 84 job racketeers in Dutse LGEA

The Jigawa state house of Assembly confirmed the discovery of 84 job racketeers in Dutse local government education authority.

This was confirmed by the member representing Birnin Kudu constituency and chairman comnittee on Education Science and Technology Suraj Muhammad Kantoga while briefing journalists at Correspondent’s chapel gallery DUTSE Jigawa state.

Kantoga who also lead the verification exercise committee said, the sum of over N2.5 million was save from the racketeers in one month.

He identified the racketeers that involves ghost workers, staffs with double appointment, illegal appointment and some with extension years in service.

According to him, the verification committee embarked on the exercise after receiving directive from the state governor Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Badaru to investigate the local education authority with purpose to provide qualitative education not witch-hunting anybody.

He said, governor Badaru gave the directives after receiving several complain from people and the chairman of the local government in particular that the education sector need to be sanitize in the area.

Kantoga then threaten to sanction anybody involved in this illegal exercise as according to him, government will never allow bad people to jeopardize the future of the state.
