The Jigawa state governor Malam Umar A. Namadi has approved the appointment of Dr. Mohammed Hassan as the pioneer Director General of the Jigawa State ICT and Digital Economy Agency.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State, Malam Bala Ibrahim.
Prior to his recent appointment, Dr. Hassan served as the Managing Director of Jigawa State Galaxy Information Technology and Telecommunications (Galaxy ITT).
Similarly, the Governor has appointed Baffajo Beita as the new Managing Director of Jigawa State Galaxy Information Technology and Telecommunications (Galaxy ITT).
Others are Muhammad Nura Zubairu as Executive Director of Technical Services, and Umar Ibrahim Gumel as Executive Director of Business Development Services at Jigawa State Galaxy ITT.
According to the SSG, “these strategic appointments are part of Governor Namadi’s commitment to strengthen the digital economy in Jigawa State, ensuring that the agency is led by capable professionals who will drive innovation and improve ICT services within and outside the state”
Adding that all the appointments take immediate effect.
