Jigawa ministry for LG, inaugurates free drugs distribution committee

As part of effort to alleviate and ease the life of people in the state, the Jigawa state ministry for local government under the leadership of Honourable Ahmed Garba MK inaugurated a committee that will facilitate the distribution process of qualitative and free drugs in the state.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations officer of the ministry Comrade Najib Umar and made it available to news men in Dutse.
According to the statement, during the inauguration, the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Development, Alhaji Ahmed Garba MK said, the Scheme is part of the present administration agenda to ensure every citizen in the state enjoys a free, qualitative, and accessable health care services as well as to meet Universal Health Coverage as doctrined by the World Health Organization (WHO).
“Huge amount of money expended for the procurement of the items as such I called upon you base on the confidence the present administration repose on you to ensure the drugs are being utilized judiciously and transparently”, he said.
The Commissioner assuared the Ministry under his watch would continue enovating means and avenues that will help in promoting the lives of the people in the 27 Local Governments of the State.
While delivering his remarks, the Technical Adviser to the State Governor on Health related matters Alh. Isah Suraja applauds the Ministry and Commissioner in particular for making this effort a reality.
He also appreciates Governor for Considering health of the people in state as fore-Priority, and assuared that the Committee will surely the end justified the means.
The meeting was graced by number of technocrates in health and other related deciplines all to ensure the success of the programme; whom include representatives from the State Ministry of Health, Primary health care development Agency, Jigawa State Pharmaceutical Company and Primary Health Care department of the Ministry for Local Government.
