The National President of Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers’ Association of Nigeria (KACRAN), Hon Khalil Muhammad Bello, has embarked on a house-to-house sensitization exercise in Yobe State to promote peaceful coexistence between farmers and pastoralists.
The exercise, which began three weeks ago, aims to eradicate misunderstandings and conflicts between the two groups.
During a visit to the Emir of Machina’s palace, Khalil Bello commended the Emir for his efforts in maintaining peace and harmony in the Emirate.
The Emir, Alhaji Dr. Bashir Al-Bishir Bukar Machina, praised the initiative and emphasized the importance of peace in human settlements.
He urged KACRAN to continue sensitizing both farmers and pastoralists on the need to live in peace.
The National President presented a letter of appointment to the Emir, making him the State Patron of KACRAN.
He also commended Yobe State Governor, Hon Mai Mala Buni, for supporting the exercise and called on federal and northern state governors to emulate his example in promoting peace and unity between farmers and pastoralists.
