The National Reconciliation Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has reconciled feuding factions of the party in Kano, just as a Federal High Court in Abuja recognized the executives of one of the factions of the party.
Chairman of the committee and Nassarawa state governor, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, who briefed newsmen at the end of the marathon meeting attended by party stalwarts from both sides, said they have been able to have fruitful discussions that have led to the resolution of the contending issues in the party.
He, however revealed that one of the three major issues raised at the meeting revolves around the two pending cases before the courts of law, which he said was not discussed for fear of contempt until they are withdrawn.
During the all night reconciliation effort, members of the two factions sat together and iron the way forward for the party that included agreement to become one with a promise to ensure inclusiveness and reorganization of members of the caucus to ensuring full representation.
Senator Adamu pointed out that the committee has been able to accomplish the task of reconciling the two sides which have both expressed determination to ensure peaceful co-existence among members in the stronghold of the party in Kano.
