Kano Deputy Governor Congratulates Governor Yusuf on NUT’s Best Governor Award

Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for being named Best Governor by the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) during the World Teachers’ Day Celebration celebration at Eagles Square, Abuja.

The deputy governor described the award as well-deserved, citing Governor Yusuf’s commitment to education, particularly in the recruitment of teachers under the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) program.

A statement by Ibrahim Garba Shuaibu, Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, He also highlighted the governor’s efforts in renovating schools and supplying learning materials across the state, sponsoring students for foreign scholarships and establishing Qur’anic study centers among others.

Comrade Gwarzo praised the Governor Abba’s led administration’s focus on improving the quality of education, noting that the initiatives have impacted both students and teachers in Kano.

He expressed confidence that Governor Yusuf would continue to lead educational reforms, further advancing the sector in the state.
