Kano extends schools resumption date

Kano state Ministry of Education has extended the resumption dates for all Public and Private Primary and Secondary Schools in the state.

Making the disclosure, the Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru said that the one week extension was aimed at normalizing the state academic calendar after series of disruptions resulted from the effect of COVID-19 pandemic.

Therefore, according to him, all students of boarding schools are to resume on Sunday, 12th September 2021 as against 5th September.

The day schools students are to resume on Monday, 13th September 2021 as against 6th September as earlier announced.

The commissioner, expressed appreciation to parents /Guardians for the support they are according to the ministry, hoping that the tempo will be sustained.

He then urged them to ensure that their wards have resumed schools at the stipulated dates.
