Kano governor flags off training for 2,500 security personnel to combat crime

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has officially launched the training program for 2,500 security personnel at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

This was contained in a statement by Sanusi Bature, Director General of the Media and Publicity Directorate at the Kano State Government House.

According to the statement, the initiative, undertaken through the Corporate Security Institute in Gabasawa, fulfills two key promises.

This, according to the governor, includes boosting job opportunities for youth and strengthening the state’s security architecture.

“The trained personnel will be deployed to ministries, departments, and agencies to bolster existing security structures and enhance overall safety,” Governor Yusuf declared during his address to the trainees and distinguished guests.

He emphasized the importance of their commitment to the training, stating, “Achieving our set goals requires dedication from each of you.”

The Governor reiterated his administration’s dedication to improving the lives of Kano’s young population through various programs.

“We will continue to initiate programs that directly benefit our teeming youth, ultimately propelling the state’s social and economic development,” he affirmed.

He further reassured the state’s residents of his commitment to their safety.

“Under my leadership,” he pledged, “the Kano State Government will do everything necessary to guarantee the security of lives and properties for all citizens of our beloved Kano.”

He expressed gratitude to the people of Kano for their patience, support, and cooperation since his administration began.

“I urge you to maintain this momentum as we embark on even more development projects that directly impact the lives of our people,” he said.
